Pneumonia in the brief space of two days caused the death of five of Healdsburg's pioneer citizens. On Friday night Timothy Allen Ingalls died and on Saturday night his aged wife joined him on the other shore. On Sunday morning Mrs. Almira Alexander passed away to the beyond. On Saturday night Henry Boil, an aged resident of that place passed on, and on the same night Hiram W. Smith, another pioneer, answered the summon. And thus, five of Healdsburg's old and respectable citizens, at the same time lay clothed in the habiliments of the grave.
