Nathaniel Fisher served in the"War of 1812" in Captain William Hutchison Jr's Co, 4th Regiment (Mountjoy's Kentucky Mounted Volunteer Militia). Nathaniel enlisted on the 31st of August in Bourbon County and served as Fourth Sergeant.

The Bourbon Co. KY Census taken on 7 Aug 1830 shows that Nathaniel lived down the road from his mother, Margaret Brindley Fisher. Page 43 of 122 in the 1830 Census shows Nathaniel Fisher listed with Thomas Fisher, Thomas Amos, Nathaniel Brindley, and Samuel Stephens.

Nathaniel Fisher died in August 1833, in Bourbon County, KY, at the age of 48. According to Inventory and Estate Sale Records from Bourbon, Kentucky, Probate Records, Will records, Index, 1831-1835, Vol. J, Nathaniel Fisher's will was probated on 7 Sep 1833.
