DONALD H. GICK, 91, of Fort Wayne, died on Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, at Lutheran Life Villages, Fort Wayne. Born Oct.. 1, 1921, in Fort Wayne, he was a son of the late August Gick and Lenora (Koenig) Gick. He retired from the Carpenters Local 232. He was a member of New Haven American Legion Post 330. Surviving are his friend, Libby Barber of Fort Wayne; two nieces; and two nephews. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Imogene A. (Stephan) Gick, in 2005; sister, Ellen Foust; and brother, Edgar Gick. Funeral service is 1 p.m. Tuesday at Lutheran Life Villages, with calling one hour prior. Pastor Mike Wakeland officiating. Burial in Concordia Cemetery Gardens. Preferred memorials to Heartland Healthcare & Hospice. Arrangements by Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road.
