SPRINGFIELD - Bobby L. Crapps Sr., 64, of Stapleton Rd. departed this life on Sunday, January 13, 2013, at Baystate Medical Center. Born in Moultrie, GA, he was the son of Eddie Crapps and Amy Lee (Williams) Crapps. He was a 46-year Springfield resident and had served his country as a MP in the Army. Later he worked for Sweet Life and retired in 2002 after 31 years there. Pre-deceased by his parents and five siblings, he is survived by his wife, Diane A. Crapps of Springfield; two sons, Bobby Crapps Jr. and Mark Crapps, both of Springfield; a daughter, Sonya M. Crapps of Springfield; three brothers, Elijah Crapps, Isaac Crapps, and Willie F. Crapps, all of Springfield; two sisters, Edie Whetstone of Springfield and Mary Wilson of Hartford, CT; three grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives; and numerous friends. The calling hours are 9-11 a.m. Thursday at Shiloh Church of God In Christ followed by the funeral at 11 a.m., with burial in Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery in Agawam.
