Sever Watrud, died at his home in the town of Moscow, on Feb. 26, 1917, after a lingering illness, at the age of 62 years. He was born in Hadeland, Norway, March 5, 1855 and came with his parents to this country at the age of 12 years. On Feb. 4, 1884 he was married to Miss Elizabeth Carolyn Ingwell. To this union were born thirteen children, three died in infancy. The living are: Mrs. Clarence Mason of Greenwood, Mrs. Teddy Anderson of Fennimore, of Hollandale, Charles, Frank, George, Herbert, Henry, Benjamin and Leslie who together with their mother mourn the loss of a kind father and loving husband. Two brothers, Ole Watrud of Dawson, Minn, Martin Watrud of Hollandale, and one sister, Mrs. Isaac Ingwell of Blanchardville survive him.

The deceased was always an industrious farmer, a good citizen and a kind neighbor and his absence will be keenly felt in the home and in the community in which he lived, but for a Christian people there is a bright hope "and the grave is not the goal".

Funeral services were held Thursday, March 1, 1917 at the home and the Yellowstone Church conducted by Rev. Dommersuaes. Interment made in the Yellowstone Cemetery
