August Utech, 88, of Maribel, route 1, died Sunday morning at a Green Bay hospital after a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 12:30 from the home and at 1 o'clock at St. John's Lutheran church in Maribel. The Rev. Gerhard Struck will officiate and burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.
Mr. Utech was born in Europe on March 9, 1853, and came to this country when he was 12 years old. He settled in Manitowoc but later moved to Maribel where he lived the rest of his life.
Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Louis Guse of Greenleaf and Mrs. Alvin Gauger of Maribel; one son Emil at home; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Mrs. Utech died seven years ago.
