Jason David Carr, 38, of Cool Ridge, WV, passed away Tuesday July 13, 2010 at Bowers Hospice House following a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Born August 18, 1971 in Beckley he was the son of Gerald Wayne Carr of Cool Ridge and Mary Lilly of Blue Jay Six Rd., Step Mother; Linda Carr.
Jason was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents; Arthur and Christine Carr, maternal grandmother; Delta Cochran Basham, and step father; Barry Lilly. Jason was a carpenter, attended the Flat Top Baptist Church, love to hunt, fish, and spend time with his son, family and friends.
Other than his parents those left to cherish his memory include his son Alex Wayne Carr and his mother Christy Mays of Beaver, Brother; Wayne Carr and wife Gabby of Cool Ridge, half brother; Harold Tennant of Cool Ridge, step brothers; John, Chris, and Brian Brogan of Cool Ridge, Jody Lilly and Patrick Lilly of Ghent, grandfather; Lewis Basham and wife Dolly of Cool Ridge, very special friends Joey and Jackie Kaiser of Blue Jay Six Rd., also a host of nieces, nephews extended family and friends.
Services will be held at 3 PM on Saturday July 17, 2010 at the Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home Shady Spring Chapel with Pastor Michael McQuillen officiating. Burial will follow in the Lilliy-Crews Cemetery at Nimitz.
