Buster was the husband of Virgie Blalock, daughter of Stephen Jackson "Steve" Blalock and Mittie Alexander. They married June 12, 1920 and had a son, Dalton Abercrombie, Sr.

Funeral services for E. T. Abercrombie, age 65, of Jonesboro, LA were held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Jonesboro United Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Lonnie Treadway conducting. Interment followed in the Mt. Olive cemetery under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home.

The deceased is survived by his widow, Mrs. Virgie Abercrombie; two sons, Dalton Abercrombie of Jonesboro and Talmadge Abercrombie of Cotton Valley; two brothers, L. L. Abercrombie of Jonesboro and W. J. Abercrombie of Baton Rouge; one sister, Mrs. Guy Brantley of Jonesboro and 4 grandchildren.

Mr. Abercrombie died unexpectedly Tuesday afternoon at his home.

Pallbearers were Jimmy Clary, G. W. Treadway, Bud Robinson, Louis Miller, Bill Gatlin and Leonard Bosch.
