Married 1st: Sarah Evelyn Allen on 1 March 1850 in Gallatin, Copiah, Mississippi, (Unknown burial site) had one son, Robert Morehead Harris (My Grt-grdfather) one daughter
Nancy (Nannie) B. Harris B: 28 March 1852 D: 11 Sept. 1932,
found her in 1860 Census Gallitin, Copiah, MS & findagrave M# 145605283.

Married 2nd: Hettie T. Bullock on 1 Dec 1861 in Hickmam Co., Kentucy, had two children: Edward Bullock Harris and Merrie (Ella) Harris

"Pettus Relief" Volunteers
Enlisted as Captain on 11 March 1861 in Corinth, Alcorn, Mississippi promoted to Full LT Colonel, Promoted to Full Colonel
Wounded twice, the first time in a battle near Chancellorsville in Dec 1862, and the second at Weldon Railroad on June 24, 1864, when he was shoot in the head by a sharpshooter. He returned to Columbus, Kentucky with Hettie on a furlough and died on 30 Aug 1865. ( can't find burial in MS, KY, SC or GA) Said to be Bullock Cemetery, near Columbus, KY, (I looked he's not there)
