A marital span of 72 years was broken yesterday afternoon with the death of Mrs. E Clark, 89, of 1017 Scott Street, Parsons section. Mrs. Clark and her husband, Frank S. Clark, only Wednesday observed their 72nd wedding anniversary.
Mrs. Clark had been ill the past seven years. Her husband, 92, is a former Delaware and Hudson Railroad engineer.
Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 at the home, Rev. Howard E. Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Hollenback Cemetery. Friends may call Friday afternoon and evening.
A native of Factoryville, Mrs. Clark resided in Parsons 53 years. She was a member of Abbot Methodist Church in which she was active for many years. She was also a member of the Ladies Aid Society, Queen Esther Chapter, OES, the Auxiliary to the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Parsons War Mothers.
Surviving besides her husband are son Albert W. Wilkes-Barre; daughters Mrs. W. P. Reese and Mrs. D. H. Lippincott, Parsons; Mrs. Arthur Hand, Clarks Summit, and Mrs. T. H. Leisenring, Allentown; also 14 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
