Funeral services for Mr. Paul A. Hinton, 61, will be 11am Thursday January 24, 2013 at the chapel of Griffin Funeral Home with the Rev. Greg Clark officiating. Interment will follow at Acree Cemetery at Point.

Mr. Hinton began his life journey on December 28, 1951 in Ouachita Parish and began his spiritual journey on January 19, 2013 at Veterans Administration Medical Center Shreveport.

He was a resident of Monroe, an automotive mechanic and served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Era. He had a passion for NASCAR and was an avid Elvis fan. He shared a great sense of humor and laughter.

He is preceded in death by his parents Lucian and Velda Jones Hinton; siblings Donald L. and Modell Hinton.

Survivors include his children Jennifer Hinton and Christopher Hinton; brothers Huey H., Troy and Roy Hinton; sister Carolyn Dean; grandson Jaxsan Scalia; also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
