James Howard Davis, 57, of Savannah , died Tuesday, January 22, 2013.
He was born in Savannah, the son of the late Jack and Lucille Davis. He was united in marriage to Zeldia Kay Collins, who survives.
Mr. Davis had previously been a truck driver for Eagle Express. He had also worked for Aqua Glass, Tombigbee, A&M, Cardinal, and CHD Trucking. He was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church.
Services were held on Friday, January 25, at Hopewell Baptist Church in Savannah with Derek Westmoreland officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. Hermon Cemetery in Savannah, TN.
He is survived by his wife, Zeldia Kay Davis of Savannah, daughter, Angela Kay Copeland of Savannah; three grandchildren; two great-grandhildren; sisters Maxine Davis Rice, Lisa Smith, Jean Crowe, and Shirley Fowler; brothers Jim Davis and Billy Davis. He was preceded in death by a son, Jason A. Davis and a brother, Ben Davis.
