Andy was born in Dorotea and imigrated to the US in 1906. The family moved to Minnesote, later settling in Stanwood, Washington. He had 7 brothers/sisters. He married Charlotte, who later died at 6 mos. along and eventually marrying Frieda Robertson in Anacortes on August 5, 1941. They had 3 children, Linda, "Butch (Andrew,jr.), and Michael and Butch preceded his Dad in death in 1967. Andy and wife had a fleet of trucks, tent, pianist, vocalist Johnny McAteer , etc. and they traveled the US preaching from Coast to Coast. Later, they settled down in Orondo where Andy managed an orchard and ending up orchard manager of the Tree Fruit Experiment Station in Wenatchee under Archie Van Doren. When the job ended, they took over pastoring the Light of the World Tabernacle in Missoula, Montana. With Frieda's health declining, they moved back to Wenatchee, where they later divorced. Andy continued to enjoy preaching, running the packing shed for Francis Crane (in Brewster, Washington), and fishing. Though he did marry again, he was single at his death. Andy had 4 Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren. Christmas was always important because his family met each Christmas for a family reunion in Bellingham, including the usual Swedish fare on Dec. 23rd. He played Santa for many Neices and Nephews. (The story goes he even met Al Capone in Chicago but left to become a pugilist in California, fighting up and down the West Coast.)
