Lillie Mae Akin Elmore, 97, Elmore Road, Campbellsville, daughter of the late Moses Akin and Lou Ann Perkins Akin, was born in Green County, Jan. 15, 1892. She died at 6:20 a.m., Thursday, April 13, 1989, in Campbellsville after an illness. She was a member of the Brush Creek Baptist Church. She united in marriage to Ezra Elmore on Sept. 7, 1910. He preceded her in death on Jan. 27, 1964. To this union two sons and one daughter were born, Marvin Elmore and Mac Elmore, both of Campbellsville, and Mildred Long, Columbia. Besides her children, she is survived by one granddaughter and two grandsons, Bonnie Greenawalt and Mike Elmore, both of Campbellsville, and Jimmy Long, Columbia. She was preceded in death by one grandson, Howard Elmore, on Oct. 15, 1983. She is also survived by six great-granddaughters and one great-grandson, Jessica Elmore and Vanessa Elmore, both of Campbellsville, Gail Bolden, Knoxville, Cindy Alexander, Columbia, Cathy Akin, Edmonton, Susan Long, Richmond, and Brent Mershon, London; three step-great-grandsons and one step-great-granddaughter, Rick Greenawalt, Houston, Texas, Geoff Greenawalt, Lexington, Tom Greenawalt, Baltimore, Md., and Andrea Sisson, Syracuse, N.Y.; two great-great-grandsons, Benjamin Bolden, Knoxville, and Brian Alexander, Columbia; one step-great-great-grandson and one step-great-great-granddaughter, Donny Sisson and Becky Sisson, both of Syracuse, N.Y.; two brothers, Ellis Akin, Campbellsville, and Fred Akin, Louisville; several other relatives and many friends. The funeral was at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 15, at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville by the Rev. Gene Hall. Burial was at Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.
