Katharina Eckhardt was born in Frank, Russia. She was the daughter of Johannes Eckhardt and Anna Margareth Hein. Katharina married David Bastron 15 Dec 1910 in Ritzville, Washington; he died 5 Feb 1914. Their only child was Alton Leroy Bastron. Katharina remarried to Friedrich Bastron 19 Feb 1919 in Ritzville; he died 21 May 1955. Their only child was Dorothea Mildred Bastron.

Katharina Bastron

Mrs. Katharina Bastron, 83, of 2514 S. Ainsworth Ave., died Sunday.
Born in Russia, she had lived in Tacoma since 1923. She was a member of Pilgrim Congregational Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. David (Dorothy) Klein of Tacoma; a sister, Mrs. Henry Wellsandt of Spokane; a grandchild, and two great-grandchildren.
Brookside Mortuary is in charge.
