CW2, US Army Aviator, OH 58D Warrior - Passed away on Jan 25, 2013 from injuries sustained in a car accident in Dothan, AL. He was born on Jan 18, 1982 in Hopeville, NC. After Kenneth graduated from Bourbon County High School, he entered the US Army in June of 2000. Kenneth was assigned to the Lancers B/5-101st Airborne Division as a UH-60L Black Hawk Crew Chief. In May of 2008 he completed warrant officer candidate school and entered the Army School of Aviation at Fort Rucker, AL where he was assigned to the A TRP,7-17 CAV 101st Airborne Division. After his training, he chose the OH-58D Kiowa Warrior helicopter as his primary aircraft. He served two tours of duty in Iraq and one tour of duty in Afghanistan. At the time of his death, he was one week away from graduating and receiving his Kiowa Instructor Pilot certificate.
