CHICKAMAUGA - Virginia Pearl Lackey of Chickamauga died Oct. 28. She was 70. She left on the wings of a snow-white dove.
She was the widow of Dewey E. Lackey and was preceded in death by parents, Earl O. and Frances L. Ketner, and a sister, Sarah Lee Marshman.
Survivors include children, Jewell Kinsey of Lookout Mountain, William Ellis of Ringgold, Charles Ellis of Shelbyville, KY; brothers, Houston and Sammy Ketner of Chickamauga; sisters, Gladys Pettigrew of Rossville, Elizabeth Morris of Charleston, SC; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
Services: Friday, Nov. 3, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. Visitation: Friday from noon to 1 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home and Crematory, Fort Oglethorpe. Condolences may be sent at www.heritagefh.com.
