"LARRY D. ALEXANDER, of Jacksonville, passed away January 30, 2005 at the age of 42. He was born October 25, 1962 In Ypsilanti, Mich. He had Down Syndrome and he was a special person. He was talented, sensitive, loving and caring. He had a terrific memory for dates, birthdays and anniversaries. Larry enjoyed working at North Hills Work Activity Center with his friends. Larry was a member of the Happy Kegglers Bowling League for several years. His big love was Elvis, be it records, T-shirts or throw rugs.
"His father, John Hix Alexander precedes him in death. He is survived by his mother, Elsie Alexander of Jacksonville, one brother, Wilbert Alexander and his wife, Lynda of Adrian, Mich., three nephews, Shawn, John and Malichi also of Adrian, Mich., two aunts, Jewell Holland of Jacksonville and Letha Wallace of Wardell, Mo. Nephews Shawn, John and Malichi have fond memories of Larry. They were close in age and as children they played together.
"Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Friday, February 4, 2005 at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Chapel, 7724 Landers Rd., North Little Rock, 501-835-3515 with burial to follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park.
