New Diggings
John Alderson, son of Rev. and Mrs. Alderson, died Thursday last and was buried Friday, Rev. Challinor of Hazel Green officiating. The parents have the sympathy of the entire community in this their sad hour of bereavement.

We are informed that Rev. Jas. Alderson of New Diggings, pastor of the PM church, had the serious misfortune to lose his eldest son John, aged about 10 years, who passed away last Wednesday after a brief illness. The cause of his sudden departure was inflammation of the bowels.
The funeral took place on Friday. Mr. Alderson's many friends in this neighborhood deeply sympathize with the afflicted family in their sad bereavement.
