David C. Poole, 36 of Bloomington, Ind., died unexpectedly Sunday at the Bloomington Hospital. He was a former science teacher for eight years at the Grissom Middle School and was employed at Indiana University, Bloomington, in the Hazard Control Program. He also was a part time guidance counselor for the Bloomington School Systems. He was born Feb 16, 1946, in South Bend and lived in the area most of his life. Surviving are two daughters, Julia M. and Jennifer N., both of South Bend; a sister Mrs. Cheryl Hackbarth of Waukesha, Wis.; two brothers, Brian G. of Largo, Florida, and Gregory V. of Charlotte, Mich.. and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Conley (Beatrice) Poole of South Bend.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, 435 S. Ironwood, with Rev. J. Phillip Klinger, pastor of Grace United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. There will be no visitation. He was a graduate of Indiana University with a bachelor of arts degree. He also had master's degree from I.U. in guidance counseling and environmental control science.
