Leona Mae Latterman, 66, was called to be with the Lord on Monday, January 31 at 8:30 p.m. at Hershey Medical Center.
She was the wife of William H. Latterman Sr. They were married on June 22, 1956.
Leona was born on March 17, 1938 at Lecontes Mills, Pa. the oldest of five children of Theona (Welch) Derbeque of Clearfield, Pa. and the late Raymond Derbeque.
She moved to York and met her future husband. They worked hard to raise a family and provide them with blessings they had never known themselves. In numerous ways seen and unseen she supported her husband and children in all they did. She loved to be outside in the garden with her plants and flowers, enjoying bird watching. Leona also did oil paintings witch she shared with her family.
In addition to her husband and mother she is survived by two daughters, Dorothy and son-in-law Michael Tutino of Airville and Denise Latterman of Red Lion; four sons, Daniel and daughter-in-law Linda Latterman of Dallastown, Damian and daughter-in-law Lacey Latterman of Red Lion, David Latterman and his fiance' Lucille Brown-Morrow of Airville and William H. Latterman Jr. of Wheeling, W. Va.; four grandchildren, Shannon and Russell Moser, Teri Latterman, Roland and Alexandra Brown Morrow; two great- grandchildren, Anthony and Ashley Moser; two sisters, Dorothy Quickel of Clearfield, Pa. and Caroline and brother-in-law Gary Beard of York Haven; and two brothers, Ramus and sister-in-law Linda Derbeque of Olanta, Pa. and Alfred and sister-in-law Patty Derbeque of York.
