Robert passed away January 24, 2013 at his home in Minden, LA due to heart failure. He was born in Leton, LA on March 3, 1934 to I.T. Addison and Gladys Alline Lee Addison. Upon graduating from Haynesville High School in 1952, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. Robert went to work for FMC Sidewinder, Fibrebond and Exacta Inn while repairing vacuum cleaners in his spare time.
Mr. Bob was extremely independent. He liked to congregate and dine with friends every evening. He never met a stranger and was very well known by many. He loved to tell his stories and never shied away from giving his opinion. Mr. Bob was a lifelong, faithful member of Minden Presbyterian Church and stayed active by singing in the choir and being a church Elder. He loved his church family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, the love of his life and wife of 47 years Joan R. Addison, his son David Lee Addison, brothers Harold V. Addison and Elman David Addison.
He is survived by his daughter Debbie Perritt and husband Zakey of Marysville, AR, and of Lake Bisteneau, LA; grandson Matt Gryder and wife Katie of Tampa, FL; great granddaughters Madison Gryder and Reilly Gryder ; his sister Dorothy Nell Cox and husband Orville D. of Minden, LA as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family would like to extend thanks to his very dedicated piano teacher, Ann Boykin. Your time and friendship meant the world to Mr. Bob.
