Carse was my great uncle. A coal miner by trade. At various time he ran main line motor, pulling coal trips out of the mine. At one time he was a drunkard, until one night when Aunt Grace had gone to church, Uncle Carse found God at home by himself. From that time on he was a faithful Christian. Thru the years he lived several places, Marmet, in a home beside his mom and dad, in Glenville, with us for a while and then their own home. During this time he worked at R&P Coal Company in Sand Fork, Gilmer County. Later he lived in Fairmont, Marion County and worked for Eastern Coal Co. at the Rachel Mine. He was a good man, hard working and loved to fish.
