Rose's maiden name seen as Ulrey, Ulery, Ullery etc.

Rose is the daughter of Samuel ULLERY, native of Pennsylvania, and Delilah, his wife, of Ohio.

Boone County Democrat August 6, 1914
Mrs. LeRoy DeHaven, for more than thirty years, prior to six years ago, a resident of this vicinity, died very suddenly at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Pearl Black, in Iola, Kansas. Her remains, accompanied by her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Chris Black and daughter, Miss Daisy De Haven, arrived in Ogden Tuesday morning. Funeral services were held from the M.E. church Wednesday afternoon at 2:30, Rev. Hicks officiating, with interment at Glenwood beside her husband. Rose W. Ulrey was born in Mount Vernon, Ohio, April 29, 1853. At the age of one year she moved with her parents to Cedar county, Iowa, a few months later to Marshall county and from there to Boone county, where in 1873, she was united in marriage to Alpheus Leroy De Haven. To this union seven children were born, two of whom have passed away. In 1908 Mr. and Mrs. De Haven moved with their family to Iola, Kansas, where Mr. De Haven passed away five months later. Mrs. De Haven was a member of the Christian church, though in recent years ill health prevented her having any active part, yet her faith in the Lord remained strong. The past three years she spent with her daughter, Mrs. Chris Black at whose home she passed away on July 26, at the age of sixty one years. Those left to mourn are five children: Wm. L., of Springfield, Illinois; Benjamin H., of Pittsburgh, Pa.; J. Claude, of Saskatchewan, Canada; Miss Daisy and Mrs. Pearl Black, of Iola, Kansas; three brothers; Joseph Ulrey, of Iola; N.P. Ulrey, of Pierre, S.D.; P.J. Ulrey, of Elbon, S.K.; one sister, Mrs. Belle Kirketerp, of San Francisco. California, and a large circle of friends and neighbors. Mrs. De Haven was an aunt of Mrs. Wm. Bakley and a cousin of M.H. Ulrey of this place. Those who attended the funeral from out of town were her son, Claude, of Saskatoon, Sask., and Mrs. Belle Kirketerp, of San Francisco. Cal., a sister enroute home from a two years trip abroad, having reached this country within the past week.—Ogden Reporter
