She was born February 22, 1958, in Anderson and lived all of her life in Anderson. She was a graduate Madison Heights High School, attended Good Will Schools Industry to learn micro filming and retired from the Madison County Government Center. Julie was a member of the Central Wesleyan Church, former member Amvets Post #26 women Auxiliary in Pendleton, Julie did a great deal of volunteer work for Marion VAMC, Roudebush VAMC, the former Turtle Creek Nursing Home and St. John's Hospital. She also had been a candidate for Miss Wheelchair Indiana, she received the President's Award for raising funds to purchase a new bus for the Paraplegic Association, was instrumental in handicap children to attend public schools and served as Democrat Precinct Committeeman.
She is survived by her mother, Della Wilson of Anderson; three sisters, Sharon (Wayne) Joslin of Lapel, Judy (William) Castle of San Diego, CA, Carol (Joseph) Riley of Pendleton; eight brothers, Danny (Millie) Warrum of Anderson, Phillip (Kathy) Scott of Indianapolis, David (Vicki) Scott of Alexandria, Larry Scott, Joseph Scott both of Anderson, Mike (Carol) Wilson of Yorktown, Barry (Tracy) Wilson of Provo, Utah and Eric (Melissa) Wilson of Daleville; also surviving is a special cousin, Brenda Bowers and 27 nieces and nephews and 42 great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her fathers, Everett Scott and Clifford Wilson and her sister, Shelia Hampton.
The family would like to say a special "Thank You" to the CCU at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital for all their care and concerns.
Service will be at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Sandefur officiating. Entombment will be in East Maplewood Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home.
