Carmella D. Mammana, 98, passed away on April 23, at Gracedale Nursing Home in Nazareth. Born: On December 9, 1913 in Roseto, PA, Carmella was a resident of Easton most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Daniel DeCesare and Adelina Pacifico DeCesare. Personal: She is preceded in death by her husband Frank L. Mammana. Carmella worked as a seamstress in various apparel factories in the area for more than 50 years, retiring in 1980 from Suzette Dress Co. In her younger days she was a pianist and played trombone in the Easton High School band. Memberships: Carmella was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Survivors: Carmella is survived by her son, Dennis Mammana of San Diego, CA; grandchildren, Terrianne Yeager of Bethlehem, Ricky Mammana of Easton, Denise Wagner and Delina Martin, both of Tucson, AZ, Crystal Hahn of Nazareth and Dawn Mammana of Easton; 15 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Vivian Gualberti of Easton; and brother, Lawrence DeCesare of East Brunswick, NJ. She is also preceded in death by her son, Patrick Mammana and siblings Jane Bossert and Nicholas DeCesare. Services: A calling hour will be held on Thursday from 7 to 8 p.m. in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas St., Easton PA, Palmer Twp. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 1 p.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 9th & Lehigh St., Easton. Interment will be at Gethsemane Cemetery.
