THOMAS DAY

Thomas Lee Day, 90, of Blacksville, WV died Thursday, December27, 2012 in Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.

He was born March 6, 1922 at Belington, WV, a son of the lateGordon G. Day and Edna Corley Day.

Mr. Day was a retired railroader. He held various positionswith the railroad company.

Surviving are his wife, Ida Louise Tennant Day, to whom he wasmarried for 65 years. The couple was married on October 3, 1947. One son &daughter-in-law, Rodney and Carolyn Moats of Morgantown; one sister, AnnaMargaret Sullz of Morgantown; two nephews; three grandchilren; and threegreat-grandchildren.

Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home, 5894Mason-Dixon Highway, Blacksville, WV from 6-8 PM Saturday. Funeral services willbe held in the funeral home at 1:00 PM Sunday with Rev. Rose Saundersofficiating. Interment will follow in the Tennant Cemetery at Daybrook.

Note: Rodney Moats was the son of Betty Moats Tennant and Alonzo Simmons. He was raised by Thomas Day and Ida Tennant
