John Randall "Jake" Hester was born to Wyvis Burrell and Bobby Hester, May 6, 1966. He was the oldest of three children. Johnny graduated from East Holmes Academy in 1984, and he attended both Mississippi State University and University of Mississippi. He was killed in a car accident on Interstate 40.
He was preceeded in death by his maternal grandparents, John and Eva Burrell and his grandfather, Floyce Hester.
He is survived by his parents, Bobby and Wyvis Burrell Hester; a brother, Robert (Kim) Hester; a sister, Cindy (Doug) Lucas; his grandmother, Christine Hester; and two nieces.
