Donald L. Lichterman, 71, Two Rivers, presently residing at North Ridge Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc, died Thursday afternoon, April 28, 2005, at Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers. Donald was born Sept. 3, 1933, in Luxemburg, Wis., son of the late John and Lucille (Arendt) Lichterman. He was a graduate of Casco High School with the Class of 1951. Don also attended Manitowoc County Normal in Manitowoc. He proudly served his country with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. On July 22, 1967, Don married Dianne Wilsmann in Waukegan, Ill. She preceded him in death on Dec. 28, 1993. Don was a Shipping Supervisor at Formrite Tube Company in Two Rivers until his retirement in 1995. Don loved camping, playing sheepshead, fishing and the times he got to share with his family.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Gary Zipperer, Two Rivers; one son and daughter-in-law, Dean and Lori Lichterman, Canadaigua, N.Y.; one granddaughter, Alicia Zipperer, Stevens Point; five brothers and four sisters-in-law, Joe and Jeanne (Knight) Lichterman, Two Rivers; Tony Lichterman, Oshkosh; Michael and Mary Lichterman, Sheboygan; Al and Barb Lichterman, Two Rivers; Dale and Debra Lichterman, Two Rivers; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Delores Gerard, Manitowoc; Clara and Chester Kusiak, Denmark; Mary Ann and Gary Brault, Manitowoc; sisters-in-law, Shirley Lichterman, Menomonee Falls; Nancy Wilsmann, Sun Prairie; brother-in-law, David Wilsmann, Green Bay; father-in-law, Elmer and Shirley Wilsmann, Francis Creek. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.

He was preceded in death by a brother, John Lichterman II; a sister, Murial Lichterman; a niece, Dana Lichterman; three brothers-in-law, Dean Richter, Charles Lehman and Jack Gerard; and his mother-in-law, June Wilsmann.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 2, 2005, at St. Peter the Fisherman Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. William O?Brien with burial to follow at Forest View Cemetery, Two Rivers, where graveside military rites will be accorded by the Two Rivers V.F.W. and American Legions Posts. The family will greet relatives and friends on Sunday evening from 5 to 8 p.m. at Klein & Stangel Funeral Home, Two Rivers. Visitation will continue Monday at St. Peter the Fisherman Church from 9 until the time of service at 10:30 am.
The family would like to thank the nurses at North Ridge Care Center, especially Linda, for the loving care given to our father. Also, a special thank you to Fr. Bill, Dr. Roman, and the staff at Aurora Medical Center.
