Mrs. Mellie Carroll, age 95, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2005. She was preceded in death by her husband, James D. (Buck) Carroll; five brothers and five sisters.
She is survived by her sister, Lillie F. Evans; daughters, Mary (Pete) Rodriguez, Jean (George) Eakin, and Judy (Larry) Smith; grandchildren, Tony Rodriguez, Margarite (Eric) Podder, Carol (Kemp) Crawford and Jimmy Young; four great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren and eight step-great-grandchildren; and numerous relatives and friends that loved her.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Embracing Hospice Care Foundation, 3180 Presidential Drive, Suite E. Atlanta, GA 30340. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 15. 2005 from 4-8 PM with funeral services held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 16, 2005 at Bill Head Funeral Home, Lilburn/Tucker Chapel, 770-564-2726, followed by burial at Westview Cemetery.
