Blanchardville- Mrs. Fred Ethridge, 63, died at her homehere at 7:50 last night. She suffered a stroke a few days ago.

Born Dec. 2, 1887, in Fayette, Lafayette county, the daughter of Asa and Alma Taylor Fox, she was names Bessie Max. She attended rural schools there.

Mrs. Ethridge was married to Fred Ethridge March 25, 1905, and the couple lived in Monroe, Mendota, Winona and Vandalia, Ill. and Argyle before moving to Blanchardville nine years ago.

She leaves her husband; four sons, Arthur and Kenneth, Blanchardville, Harold in Korea with the marine corps, and Phillip, stationed with the army in Chicago; five daughters, Mrs. Glen Sweeney, Argyle, Mrs. Lloyd Burton, Vandalia, Mrs. Harold Kaene, Clinton, Ill., Miss Lillian Ethridge, Mendota, and Mrs. Doris Artcher, with the WACs in Chicago; three sisters, Mrs. John Andrews, Argyle, Mrs. Ben Helmeid, Monroe, and Mrs. John Carter Jr., Monroe; 16 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons and a daughter.

Services will be in the Saether funeral home at 1:30 p.m., Monday, Rev. C.S.Benson of Trinity Lutheran church officiating. Burial will be in Argyle Greenwood cemetery. In charge of flowers will be Betty Sweeney, Lois Walters, Lucy Conway and Grace Helmeid.

Pallbearers will be six nephews, Cecil, Earl, and Homer Ethridge. Lester Andrews and Ancil and Clayton Helmeid.
