THE SPRINGFIELD SUN, page 1, Thursday, January 1, 1970. Mr. Clements Died of Heart Attack Monday. William A. Clements, 53, died unexpectedly of a heart attack at his country residence near St. Rose, this county, early Monday morning, December 29. Surviving are his widow, formerly Miss Sue Thomas of Lebanon; three daughters, Mary Sue, Nancy Jean and Robbie all at home; four sons, Frank, Sam, and Joe Clements, at home, and Billy Clements of Clemson, N.C.; two brothers, James R. and Luckett Clements, and one sister, Miss Nancy Lee Clements, all of Springfield. The son of James C. and Robbie Simms Montgomery (sic), Mr. Clements was born, reared and spent his life in Washington County. In addition to his real estate holdings, he had for a number of years been an employee of General Electric Company at Buechel. The funeral Mass was said at 11 a.m. at St. Rose Catholic Church, interment following in the church cemetery nearby.

NOTE; his burial entry on line 20, page 38 of St. Rose Sacramental register IV said that William A. Clements, 53 died of a heart attack on December 29, 1969 and was buried in St. Rose Cemetery on December 31, 1969. It was signed by Rev. Fr. J. F. McManus, O.P.
