Complications caused the death of Mrs. Mary Hutchinson, aged 76, at her home, 224 South Sixth St., last evening at 5:20 o'clock. She had been in poor health for nearly five years.
Mary Ricketts was the daughter of the late Thomas C & Ann Ricketts, pioneer residents of this city.
She was born in 1850 in this city, where she spent her entire life.
In 1870 she was united in marriage with Willis S Hutchinson, who preceded her to the grave in Dec. 1912. To this union were born three children, Mrs. E. W. Cresap of the late home, Mrs. J Webster Jones of Linton Ind., and Charles Hutchinson. The later died years ago.
Mrs. Hutchinson had been a member of the Presbyterian Church since early girlhood, and while she was in good health, was active in all church work. She also belonged to the Historical Society.
Besides her two daughters, one sister, Mrs. Ella Hays of Columbus and one brother, Lee Ricketts of Clovis, New Mexico also survive, as does a niece, Miss Sophia Wilson, who made her home with Mrs. Hutchinson.
