Born in La Pine, Alabama, she resided in Joliet for many years, working at Klines Dept. Store and later retiring from Johnson Products.
Preceded in death by her husband, C.L. Baskin; six brothers; and six sisters.
She is survived by her devoted daughter, Mary (Allen) Dawson of Decatur, Georgia; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three sisters; nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends also survive.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, 11:00 A.M. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Rev. Isaac Singleton, officiating. Visitation Wednesday, 10-11 A.M. at the church. Interment, Elmhurst Cemetery. RANGE FUNERAL HOME
