Former Elwood Resident Succumbs Sunday Morning in East Chicago Hospital.

Howard F, Knost, 45, former Elwood resident, 873 Gerry street, Gary, died at the St. Katherine hospital in East Chicago Sunday morning at 6:30 o'clock. Mr. Knost, who was employed in the tinplate at Gary, sustained a broken right shoulder in a fall at the industry on November 14. Complications developed, resulting in his death yesterday morning. The son of George and Anna Knost, he was born at Brownstown November 1888. He resided in Elwood for some time and then went to Gary where he became employed in the tin-plate. Surviving Relatives. He was an industrious and well liked individual and enjoyed a wide circle of friends. Mr. Knost was a member of the Elwood Pilgrim Holliness Church. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Stella Knost, one daughter, Mrs. Wanda Peters, of Elwood; mother, Mrs. Anna Knost, 500 South B street; one brother, Charles Knost, of Gary, and one half-brother, William Robertson, of ____. Funeral Tomorrow. The body was removed to the Copher and Fesler Funeral Home and prepared for burial, later being removed to the home of the mother where it will lie in state until tomorrow noon. It will then be taken to the Copher and Fesler Funeral Home where funeral services will be conducted at 1 o'clock with the Rev. W. Crider, pastor of the Pilgrim Holiness Church, in charge. Burial will be in the city cemetery.
