She was born November 3, 1949 in Charlotte, daughter of the late, Fred Louis Stanford and Mary Christine Deese Carnes. A funeral service will be held 11 AM on Monday at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, officiated by Pastor Richard Cole. The family will receive friends 4-6 pm on Sunday, at the funeral home. Interment will be at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia. She is survived by: her daughter, Lisa Stanford Greene of Gastonia; sons, Ronnie F. Dillard Jr., Michael L. Dillard and his wife, all of Kings Mountain; brother, Fred V. Stanford and his wife, of Gastonia; 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Peak Resources, 2780 X-Ray Dr., Gastonia, NC 28054 or West Fifth Avenue Free Will Baptist Church, 2145 W. Fifth Ave., Gastonia, NC 28052.
