J. B. Schriftman, Stage Dancer, 17, Victim of Auto Accidents – Had Played for Royalty

Services will be held at 10 a.m. tomorrow in the Jewish Memorial Chapel, 1406 Pitkin Ave., for Jay Bee Schriftman, 17, a stage dancer, of 56 Throop Ave., who was killed Saturday afternoon in an automobile accident near Norwalk, Conn.

He was on his way to appear in a Bridgeport theater and was known professionally as Jay Bee. He was a member of the original "Babes in Arms" cast and had toured Europe for two years, appearing before the King and Queen of England and also before Gandhi of India. He appeared on the Pantages and Loew circuits. Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Maury Schriftman.
