CODEN Willis Oliver Tillman, who worked as a commercial fisherman, died Friday in a local hospital. He was 81.
A native of Theodore, he resided in Coden and attended the Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include four sons, Willis S. Tillman of Coden, Wilfred Tillman, Madison Oliver Tillman and John H. Tillman, all of Irvington; four daughters, Mary Goleman of Heron Bay, Linda Goleman of Coden, Irma Hamilton of Port Sulphur, La., and Joann Shirah of Theodore; two sisters, Viola Gazzier of Irvington and Edith Willard of Theodore; 30 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Serenity Funeral Home, with services at noon Monday. Burial will be in Oddfellow Cemetery.
