Sally was the second daughter of Henry VanDerCook Weatherwax and his first wife, Mary Etta WING. She married Martin Curtis, Sr. about 1856. Their children were Mary L. Curtis ((Mrs. James SMITH), Lydia Estella Curtis (Mrs. William CARR), Olive Curtis (Mrs. Amos E. CALDWELL) and Martin Curtis, Jr.(married Maude WRIGHT). Judging from her photographs, Sally appears to have had some sort of eye problem. The year of her death is incorrectly inscribed on this monument.
