Mary (Schweitzer) Rydberg Miller
Mary Miller, 78, of Billings died Thursday, April 8, 1999, at St. Vincent Hospital. Born in Hingham, Montana, Mary was the daughter of John J. and Clara (Thomas) Schweitzer. She was raised and educated in Timberlake, S.D.
Mary was united in marriage to Carl H. Rydberg in Aberdeen, S.D., in 1941. They farmed near Mina, S.D., for 18 years until his death in 1960. She moved to Billings in 1969. She worked at Hennessey's as a sales associate for 15 years.
Survivors include her five daughters: Carol Sanders of Simi Valley, Calif., Charlette (Jim) Rose and Marlene (Doug) Phillips of Sierra Vista, Ariz., Elaine Nielsen of Bozeman, and Beverly (Don) Root of Sierra Vista, Ariz.; and two sons: Robert 'Carl' Rydberg, Big Stone City, S.D., and Donn Rydberg of Bozeman; and her daughter-in-law, Carol Rydberg of Aberdeen, S.D.; twenty one grandchildren and one great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, her husband and a son, John.
Visitation will be at Dahl Funeral Chapel on Sunday, April 11, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Vigil services are scheduled at St. Thomas the Apostle Church at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday. Funeral Services will be held in Aberdeen, S.D.
