Peggy Lois Eckstein, age 78, of Dennison, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013, at her residence, following a long battle with ovarian cancer.

Born on March 8, 1934, at East Liverpool, Peggy was the daughter of late James Ervin and Mabel (Snyder) Talbott.

In 1952, Peggy graduated from East Liverpool High School. Peggy was a homemaker and a former secretary for 10 years at Beaver Valley Reproductions and J & J Oak Furniture. She was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, the NY Yankees and the OSU Buckeyes. Peggy enjoyed bingo and playing slot machines.

On Nov. 15, 1952, Peggy married John E. Eckstein Sr., who survives of the home. They are survived by their children John Eckstein Jr. of Dennison, Pamela McCoy of Cumberland, Lois (Joe) Dorto of Uhrichsville, Mark (Carla) Eckstein of Indiana, Joyce (Jim) Nedrow of New Philadelphia, Joey (Brenda) Eckstein of Roswell, Melody (Nick) Nichols of Dennison and Tony (Michele) Eckstein of Tuscarawas; two sisters Mary Miller of Columbiana and Judy Collins of Lisbon; four brothers Mart, Ron, Jerry and Ray Talbott all of East Liverpool; 20 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and her beloved pet dog "Bella."

In addition to her parents, Peggy is preceded in death by her son-in-law, Larry McCoy, and two, sisters Kay Cross and JoAnn Talbott.

Funeral services for Peggy will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013, at the Uhrich-Hostettler English Funeral Home, Inc., at Uhrichsville, with Thomas Loquvam and Joe Collar officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery in Uhrichsville.

Calling hours will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, and one hour prior to services on Tuesday, at the funeral home.
