Julia (Bard) Ingalls wife of George Whiting Ingalls The couple had several children who deceased shortly after birth. Then there lived a child for a year, but after visiting family in the winter he was so wrapped up later that he suffocated. Julia Ingalls was completely stripped of the death of her children and in 1888 she was taken from the settlement near Devils Lake Settlement Washburn Co, WI to Mendota by the sheriff later transfered Feb 8, 1893 to Dunn Co, Asylum included in Dunn County Asylum for the Chronic Insane in Red Cedar Township (Dunn County) Wisconsin.Julia Ingalls died there in May 1910.
She is showing up in the 1900 and 1910 census in Dunn County Asylum as an inmate.
