John died peacefully on January 31, 2013. He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War and fought at the Chosin reservoir. He was a lifetime member of the VFW. He was an active member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and served as a Eucharistic Minister and an usher for many years along with participating on several committees. He is survived by his wife Helen of almost 56 years and children Carol (Jeff Reiss), Elizabeth Jaime, John (Kimberly), and Jerry (Veronica); grandchildren Amanda and Kyle Reiss, Christina, Tiffany and Brandon Jaime, Alexandra Barnes and April and Michael Barnes. The Rosary will be followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 1:30 PM on February 2, 2013 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Costa Mesa, CA.
Interment will be at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in the E Section - HSC on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 2:00PM
