Donald Lankford King, age 85, died Sunday, December 26, 2010, at his home in Hampshire.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 29, 2010, at Swan Creek Baptist Church with Chris Gowan and Dwight Lyles officiating.

Visitation was Tuesday, December 28, 2010, from 3:30-9 p.m. at the McDonald Funeral Home in Hohenwald and will be again on Wednesday, December 29, 2010, from 10 a.m. until service time at the Swan Creek Baptist Church.

Interment will follow in the Kittrell Cemetery.

He was the son of Argles and Pearl Kennedy King and native of Maury County, Tenn. He was a member of the Swan Creek Baptist Church and was a farmer, fish cooker at the Swan View Restaurant and an employee of the Tennessee Highway Deprtment.

Beside his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Clifford Sr., Carl, Claude, William, Earnest and Lawrence King and sisters Cora Lee Lindsey, Neva Beckum, Mary Ellen Lane and Mary Francis King.

Survivors include his wife Betty Lou Allen King of Hampshire, sons Michael King (Elizabeth) of Mt. Pleasant and Morris King (Betty) and Mark King (Mary Jane), both of Hampshire; sister-in-laws Nora King and Wilma King, both of Mt. Pleasant, and Juanita King of Hohenwald; also 4 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
