Curt was born on May 15, 1939 in Jackson, Minnesota to Vincent L. and Marian E. (Olson) Becker. He married Reta M. Poitevint of California on Feb 14, 1970, she survives of the home.
Additional survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, James and Angela Elder of Excelsior Springs, Mo; five daughters and sons-in-law: Wendy O'Neill of Encinitas, CA; Nancy Vienville and life partner, Cherie McCarthy of Fresno, CA; Barbara and Rodney Green of Higginsville, Mo; Roxanne and Donnie Jones of Ferguson, Mo; and Gabrielle and Ron Barto of Kansas City, Kansas; one brother and sister-in-law, Gary L. and Vickie Becker of Odessa, Mo.; 29 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
In addition to his parents, Curt was preceded in death by one sister, Ardyce Evans.
Curt was a United States Air Force and Army Veteran, and was an auto worker for General Motors before retiring in 1986. He was a member of the U.A.W. local #93. Curt was the longest living heart transplant patient (25 years) from St. Luke's Hospital. He was a transplant educator on donating organs. He was of the Christian faith.

A memorial service was held on Thursday, Jan 31, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Thurman Funeral Home in Norborne. Inturnment was in Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, Mo.
