Obit: George W. Amos, 80, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Dave Goodnight, near Antioch, Thursday evening at 9 o'clock. He had suffered a light stroke and complications followed.

He was the son of Catherine Walker and William D. Amos, born in Johnson county on January 5, 1856.

He was married to Sarah Brown on May 12, 1881. To this union, four children were born, one having preceded him in death.

Survivors include the widow; one son, Roy Amos of Benton Harbor, Michigan; two daughters, Iva Goodnight of Antioch and Lizzie Goodnight of Antioch, and Audrey Lewis; a granddaughter whom he raised. Nine other grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive.

Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
