CLAUDE DALE KLAPP, Born on December 19, 1927 in Tecumseh, Oklahoma. He joined the United States Marine Corps in 1946. While in the Marine Corps, Claude met Teresa Estelle McCoy. They were married in January 1949. After being discharged from the Marines he went to Oklahoma University, graduating in 1952. Upon graduation Claude worked for Bell Laboratories in New Jersey. In 1954, Claude went to work for the Hughes Aircraft Company, retiring after 31 years of service. He and Teresa volunteered at Hazeltine Avenue Elementary School in Van Nuys, helping in the classroom by sharing his love of science and mathematics. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Van Nuys. He was a member of the The Church at Rocky Peak. Claude died at home on September 7, 2011. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Teresa; daughter, Kathleen Mitchell; son-in-law, Wayne Mitchell; son, Claude; daughter-in-law, Mary; and three grandchildren, Jennifer Klapp, Michael Klapp and Matthew Klapp. A memorial service will be held at The Church at Rocky Peak on October 1, 2011 at 11:00 am
