Jerry was the son of Eugene and Clemis Bush Ellison. He graduated from May High School, May, Texas and worked for National Cash Register. Jerry married Geneva Lou Gilbreath on January 18, 1963 in Brown County, Texas. They had three children: 1) Eva Lanette, 2) Deborah Jean, and 3) Jerry Wayne.
