William Harrison Blevins was born in Tennessee, on February 14, 1872, and died at his home in Polo, Mo., on Sept. 24, 1924 at the age of 52 years, 7 mo., and 10 days. He was a son of Hiram and Harriett Blevins, they having preceded him in death. He was married by the writer about twenty-six years ago to Miss Carrie Arnote, daughter of Allen and Jane Arnote. They have always live in the Polo community and have many friends there. He was at one time rural mail carrier at Polo. He was not a member of any church, but was a regular attendant at Bethel church. His funeral was preached by the writer, to a large congregation, at the Bethel church, Friday. He leaves a wife, a sister, Mrs. Fred Hale, of St. Louis, and a host of friends and relatives who extend their sympathy to the widow, and her mother, Mrs. James Arnote, who had made her home with them since the death of her husband many years ago.
