Teddy Lewis Alexander, 92, passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at his home in Florence. Visitation was Wednesday, August 19th from 5-8 PM and will be Thursday, August 20th from 11 AM until the 12 PM funeral service at Chancellor Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Florence Cemetery.

Mr. Alexander has lived in Florence since 1977. He was a truck driver all of his life, driving until he was 84 years old, and spent over 30 years with Zip Trucking. He was an avid fisherman that loved his children, his dogs, and he loved to camp. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in WWII and was 32nd degree F&AM Mason where he was a member and Past Master of the Plain Lodge in Richland.

Mr. Alexander was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Francis Parker Alexander; brother, Tom Alexander; son in law, Ronnie Duncan, and daughter in law, Linda Alexander, He is survived by his children, Lewis Alexander of Richland, Laura Ann Duncan of Nashville, TN, and Lisa Stewart of Carrollton, TX; seven grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and his longtime companion, Wanda Nash of Florence.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mississippi Animal Rescue League.
